Introduction
This Document serves as the Civilian Department's introductory guide for the Mentor Program. All information within this document is meant to aid new civilians when settling into the community.
💡 Tip: Any questions regarding the program should be directed to a Mentor Supervisor.
Overview
The mentor program stands as a Civilian Probationary's introduction to PRAXIS RP. Once passing your initial training, you will be assigned a mentor. The mentor's aim is to help you as a probationary member settle into PRAXIS RP, while gaining a feel and understanding for the types and quality of scenes we strive for.
Specialty Areas
Each mentor can have a specialty in a different area, though this is not always the case. Some mentors focus on:
Medical RP
Gang RP
Judicial / Legal RP
Because of this variety, you will experience a wide range of roleplaying environments during your time as a probationary civilian. Alternatively, you can also reach out to a mentor on your own if you wish to roleplay with an experienced civilian.
Communication & Chain of Command (CoC)
The Bridge: Your Civilian mentor stands as a helpful gap between yourself and Civilian CoC. They are there to answer any questions you may have regarding the Civilian Department.
Duration: You will have a mentor for up to 90 days in the department (covering both Probationary Civilian and Full Civilian status).
Dedicated Channel: In addition to your direct mentor, there will be a shared channel between mentors and mentees to allow for a clearer form of communication.
Scene Clearances
Mentors are Civilians who are highly trusted to produce quality levels of roleplay.
Discretionary Access: Due to this status, they have the ability to bring any Probationary Civilian (CP) they roleplay with into the Normal Contact Level.
Important Note: Mentors may do this at their own discretion; it is entirely up to them whether you transition into Normal Contact or not.
💡 Tip: Any further questions can be directed to the official community website database or your assigned Mentor Supervisor.
