Staff Code of Conduct
Praxis Roleplay – Staff Code of Conduct
Overview
This document defines how staff are expected to act, think, and operate while representing Praxis Roleplay.
Staff is not a title—it is a responsibility. Your actions directly influence:
- Player experience
- Server culture
- Long-term stability
If you cannot consistently demonstrate control, professionalism, and sound judgment, you should not hold a staff position.
Core Standard
All staff are expected to operate under three non-negotiable principles:
- Control — Maintain composure in all situations
- Consistency — Apply rules evenly without exception
- Professionalism — Represent the server at a high standard at all times
Failure in any of these areas is a failure in the role.
Professional Conduct
- Player behavior
- Frustration
- Provocation
You are expected to:
- Stay calm under pressure
- Handle situations without escalation
- Focus on resolution, not reaction
- Arguing with players
- Emotional outbursts
- Escalating situations unnecessarily
- Attempting to “win” interactions
You are not here to prove a point—you are here to handle the situation correctly.
Maturity & Judgment
- Thinking before acting
- Considering long-term impact
- Knowing when to step back or escalate
Every decision should reflect what is best for the server—not what feels right in the moment.
- Acting on emotion
- Rushed or impulsive decisions
- Overstepping authority
- Refusing to escalate when appropriate
Respect & Boundaries
- Speak professionally at all times
- Maintain control without lowering your standard
- De-escalate instead of engaging
Respect is about control—not friendliness.
- Talking down to players
- Public confrontations
- Power struggles
- Allowing yourself to be baited
Once you lose control, you lose authority.
Integrity
- Apply rules fairly
- Be honest in all actions
- Represent situations accurately
- Favoritism
- Bending rules for personal reasons
- Misrepresenting situations
- Protecting friends or groups
If staff cannot be trusted, the system fails.
Consistency
- Equally
- Predictably
- Without bias
- Selective enforcement
- Ignoring violations
- Inconsistent punishments
Consistency is what builds credibility.
Accountability
- Own your decisions
- Accept correction from leadership
- Adjust behavior moving forward
- Deflecting blame
- Making excuses
- Arguing against correction
Mistakes happen—failure to correct them is the issue.
Conduct Within Staff
- Remain professional with other staff
- Handle disagreements privately
- Use chain of command
- Arguing in staff channels
- Publicly challenging decisions in a hostile way

- Direct messages
- Voice channels
Only when tone cannot be misinterpreted.

Public Image
There is no true “off-duty” when it comes to behavior.
- Public drama
- Toxic behavior
- Actions that damage server reputation
If you act like a problem, you become one.
Confidentiality
- Keep internal matters internal
- Protect player and staff information
- Respect privacy at all times
- Sharing internal discussions
- Leaking staff actions or reports
- Disclosing sensitive information
