Praxis RP Gang Policy
Introduction
Thank you for taking the time to read Praxis RP’s Community Gang Policies. This document outlines the expectations, rules, and standards that all gangs and gang members must follow while roleplaying on our server.
Gang roleplay is an important part of any major city and, when done correctly, adds depth, conflict, and long-term storytelling to the community. Our goal is to encourage immersive, realistic, and enjoyable gang RP while maintaining clear limits to prevent abuse, disruption, or low-effort gameplay.
All members of an approved gang are expected to be familiar with these policies. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action against individual members or the gang as a whole.
Application & Approval Process
All gangs on Praxis RP are whitelisted and approval-based.
To become an approved gang, you must submit an application through the Praxis RP Discord. Applications are reviewed by the Civilian Staff Department.
After initial review, applicants may be:
- Denied
- Contacted for additional information
- Scheduled for an interview to discuss intentions, structure, and long-term plans
Final approval decisions are made at staff discretion and are not guaranteed.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to apply for gang approval, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Hold the required civilian rank as defined by the server
- Maintain consistent server activity (10+ hours per week) and be a member for at least two months
Applications that do not meet eligibility requirements will not be reviewed.
General Gang Rules
The following rules apply to all approved gangs:
- Gangs must be approved before participating in gang-related RP
- Gang membership is limited to 8 members total
- Players may not be members of more than one gang
- Maximum of 4 members in illegal activities at a time
- Maximum of 4 shooters during shootouts
- No camping or staking out another gang’s territory
- Gang wars must be mutually acknowledged with prior RP
- Hostages must be uninvolved/random players
- Gangs must have identifiable colors or symbols
- No repetitive or low-effort RP
Failure to comply may result in warnings, suspensions, termination, or bans.
Roleplay Expectations
Gangs must start small and grow naturally through RP.
Examples:
- Weapons require connections or deals
- Drug distribution requires logistics and risk
- Expansion brings consequences
Random violence or shoot-on-sight behavior is not allowed. All violence must have RP context.
Gangs should contribute to RP, not dominate or disrupt it.
Rosters & Leadership Responsibilities
- Maintain an updated roster with staff
- Clearly define leadership roles
- Report membership changes
- Notify staff if disbanding
Leaders are responsible for member conduct.
Law Enforcement Interaction
Interactions must be realistic and proportional.
- Engage in investigations properly
- Violence must be justified
- Shootouts require escalation
- Minor offenses do not justify lethal force
Law enforcement may restrict gang activity when necessary.
Territories & Gang Conflict
- Conflicts must develop through RP
- No immediate violence
- Staff may monitor conflicts
Territory is not permanent.
Gang Leadership & Truce Meetings
- Truce meetings must remain non-violent
- Leaders control member behavior
- All parties must disengage peacefully
If a leader is killed, leadership transitions and NLR applies.
Disciplinary Actions
Violations may result in:
- Warnings
- Suspensions
- Gang termination
- Server bans
All decisions are final.
Final Note
Gang RP is a privilege, not a right.
Well-run gangs are encouraged, supported, and remembered.
