Less Lethal Weapons

Bean Bag Shotgun

The Bean Bag Shotgun fires impact rounds designed to gain compliance while reducing the risk of serious injury.

Bean bag rounds are less-lethal, not non-lethal. Use them according to department force guidelines.

XREP Shotgun (Taser Shotgun)

XREP stands for eXtended Range Electronic Projectile.

The easiest way to think of it is a Taser Shotgun.

Instead of firing bean bag rounds, it launches an electronic projectile that attaches to the suspect and delivers an electrical charge similar to a standard Taser.

Benefits include:

Longer range than a standard Taser.

Effective against fleeing suspects.

Useful when a standard Taser cannot reach the suspect.

The XREP is considered a less-lethal weapon and should be used according to department use-of-force policies.

Police Tracker Instructions

Tracker System Quick Guide

The Tracker System (StarChase) allows officers to remotely track suspect vehicles.

The tracker launcher must be installed before your shift in order to be used.

Not every pursuit needs to end immediately. Consider deploying a tracker when speeds exceed 100 MPH or when pursuit conditions become unsafe.

Install Tracker Module

Copy
/tracker install

Installs the tracker launcher into the patrol vehicle.

Load Tracker

Copy
/tracker load

Loads a tracker round into the launcher.

Deploy Tracker

  1. Press X to ready the launcher.
  2. Press Y to deploy the tracker onto the suspect vehicle.

Remove Tracker Module

Copy
/tracker remove

Removes the tracker launcher from the patrol vehicle.

Remove Active Tracker

Copy
/tracker removetracker

Removes the deployed tracker from the suspect vehicle.

Bomb Suit System

After extensive testing and due to the popularity of bomb-related RP scenarios, Praxis RP includes a custom bomb suit protection system.

Officers wearing an approved bomb suit will receive significant protection from explosions.

Bomb suits reduce explosive damage but do not guarantee survival. Officers who are already critically injured may still be killed by an explosion.

Patrol Reminders

Always ensure you are logged into CAD and properly equipped before beginning patrol.
Use de-escalation, less-lethal tools, and trackers whenever possible.
Civilians can resist handcuffing and may attempt to flee. Always maintain scene control and officer safety.
The best law enforcement roleplay comes from creating realistic and enjoyable roleplay for everyone involved.
